Perjuangan menuju kebebasan pers masih panjang dan berliku. Kebebasan pers sebagai oksigen demokrasi ternyata masih sesak nafas, bahkan berlumuran darah. Sepanjang tahun 2010, sejumlah kasus kekerasan terhadap wartawan terjadi di Maluku. Dua kasus bahkan berujung kematian.
