Dear Member of the Dutch Parliament,
We hereby respectfully present to you the attached official statement of the Front Kedaulatan Maluku (FKM) / Moluccas Sovereignty Front, acting as the transitional government of the Republic of South Moluccas (RMS). This statement has been drafted in response to the recent apologies from the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Moluccan KNIL community. In the statement, we set out our vision regarding the historical, legal, and political position of the Republic of South Moluccas, as well as our hope for continued dialogue and careful consideration of this matter. We already sent this statement by post on 15 July last to His Majesty King Willem Alexander and to the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Rob Jetten.
